The Spring Show | High Point 2026
APRIL 25-29 | MARKET SQUARE HIGH POINT NORTH CAROLINA
Spring Market at High Point brought with it a renewed sense of excitement surrounding exhibition and connection. The energy throughout the market felt optimistic and deeply engaged, with designers and collectors seeking spaces and objects that felt personal, layered, and emotionally resonant. This show became a reminder that artwork is not simply viewed within interiors, but experienced as part of the atmosphere of a room itself. The week reinforced the importance of creating environments that invite visitors into a larger creative world rather than presenting paintings as isolated objects. And most fun of all - I am inviting them into a world where I create.
The exhibition marked the most successful High Point Market presentation to date, with nearly every painting displayed throughout the installation finding a new home. Collectors responded strongly to the themes of flora fauna, the texture of the paint, and warmth present throughout the works, with several clients sneaking in early to buy multiple pieces. The response served as an encouraging reminder that there remains an appetite for original artwork that feels alive, expressive, and deeply human. Above all, I found myself experiencing a profound sense of gratitude for the designers, collectors, and returning clients who continue to support my work year after year. Thank you :)
This season also inspired me to move further into a world of narrative and immersive presentation. Just before departing for High Point, an iris bloomed unexpectedly in the studio garden and I could not leave it behind. Bringing the flower into the exhibition became the beginning of a larger idea: how to transport fragments of the studio itself into each presentation. The experience prompted new questions surrounding exhibition design, atmosphere, scent, objects, florals, and storytelling, all centered around creating shows that briefly allow visitors to step into the world where the paintings are created. I am currently developing this concept further and will be excited to share it with you in future shows!
High Point Market also offered the opportunity to meet many collectors, designers, and followers in person for the first time after years of online interaction. Conversations throughout the week felt warm and personal, with many visitors sharing stories about paintings they had followed online or moments in the work that resonated with their own lives and interiors. These interactions continue to inspire motivation and reinforce the value of creating work that encourages genuine connection. In many ways, the exhibition felt less like a commercial presentation and more like a mini studio experience where I get to see old friends and meet new ones.
